Digitalisering is een van de grote thema’s in supply chain management. Door verbetering van werkprocessen kan de supply chain performance nog beter. Maar dan moeten die systemen wel goed aansluiten bij een nieuwe werkwijze in de organisatie. Dat vraagt een goede analyse van bestaande werkprocessen en een degelijk systeem selectie traject.
Een goede afweging tussen functionaliteit en gemak van invoering.
Er is steeds meer functionaliteit aanwezig in beschikbare software. Maar meer functionaliteit betekent ook meer complexiteit. Dat heeft ook gevolgen voor het implementatie traject. Niet teveel in één keer willen realiseren maar faseren kan helpen. Het is essentieel om de organisatie mee te krijgen want dan worden de voordelen sneller behaald.
